Jacob Fredericks and Gavin Dion, seniors at Saugus High, placed second and fifth in the boys varsity 2-mile race at the Palos Verdes Mini Meet at the Palos Verdes Course in California. Fredericks clocked 10:10.19 and Dion ran 10:27.42 for Saugus, which secured second overall on a sixth-runner tiebreaker against Mira Costa.
