Lucia Pearson, a freshman, and sophomore teammate Makenna Blum placed second and fifth overall in the girls varsity 2-mile race at the season-opening Palos Verdes Mini Meet at the Palos Verdes Course in California. Pearson clocked 12:49.77 and Blum ran 13:03.33 to help the Centurions take third overall with 58 points.
